RANGELEY – Saddleback Ski Area announced Thursday that it will not reopen next season unless a buyer is found.

Current owner Donald Breen, 73, is retiring from the ski business after owning Saddleback for 25 years.

“We’ve worked hard at getting the necessary permits and are hopeful of finding a new owner this summer,” Breen said in a press release.

The ski area’s price is $2.5 million or $7.5 million for the 8,000 surrounding acres.
