WISCASSET – Jeff Jackson of Chelsea won the 20-lap Mini Stock feature Saturday night as Wiscasset Raceway unveiled its new Super Slam Series.

Jackson fended off a steady challenge by Topsham’s Jerol Stepp to take the checkered flag, while Mike Swanson of Winthrop claimed third place.

The Super Slam Series, which features a $5 admission, also included action in Mini Trucks, Stock 8s, Spectator Drags and a Flagpole race.

Beech Ridge Speedway

At Scarborough Saturday night, Massabesic High School senior Alan Tardif of Lyman took advantage of a late-race restart to win his first NASCAR Pro Series race of the season at Beech Ridge Speedway.

After the restart with 12 laps remaining, Tardiff got the jump on Joey Pastore of Gorham and Bobby Babb of Windham and held them off in the final laps.

Pastore finished second and Babb was third, followed by Bub Bilodeau of Standish and Steve Carrier of Saco.

Rain forced postponement of the Sport Series and Lightning Bug races.
