FORT FAIRFIELD – Aaron Kenneson scattered four hits, fanned nine and walked one to lead the No. 6 Fort Fairfield Tigers to a 4-2 high school baseball Class D playoff win over the No. 11 East Grand Vikings Monday.
The Tigers will next visit Mars Hill to take on the No. 3 Central Aroostook Panthers in a Thursday quarterfinal showdown.
Shea Armstrong singled and scored the eventual game-winning run on a wild pitch in the third inning. Kenneson added an RBI single in the fifth. Ryan Helstrom and Chris Osgood also singled for Fort Fairfield.
Ryan Fish led the Vikings of Danforth with an RBI double. Scott Flannery, who gave up four hits in the loss, doubled and Richard Byers added an RBI on a groundout.
