BOYS Big School (Classes A-B) KALLE EKO Eko, an Old Town senior, won four events at the Penobscot Valley Conference Large School Track and Field championships Friday. Eko won the 100- and 200-meter dashes, the long jump and the triple jump.

KALLE EKO

Eko, an Old Town senior, won four events at the Penobscot Valley Conference Large School Track and Field championships Friday. Eko won the 100- and 200-meter dashes, the long jump and the triple jump.

Small School (Classes C-D)

AARON KENNESON

The Fort Fairfield senior struck out 18 and walked one in a 5-2 win Limestone and had a no-hitter going into the bottom of the seventh, when he gave up the Eagles’ only two hits. Kenneson had six hits in the Tigers’ last two games.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

HEATHER LAFERRIERE

John Bapst of Bangor’s Laferriere laced a two-run single in the top of the third inning to propel the Class B Crusaders to a 5-3 victory over Class A Bangor May 28. John Bapst went to 11-5 with the win.

Small School (Classes C-D)

OLIVIA ALFORD

The Orono senior won three individual events at the PVC Small School Track and Field championship. The sprint specialist won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes and anchored the winning 400 relay.
