VAN BUREN – Principal Robert Stedt of Van Buren District Secondary School in Van Buren has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2003.

Tyler Hews, son of Brian and Billie Hews of Van Buren, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2003.

He will attend Husson College in Bangor to study physical therapy.

He has been active in varsity soccer, basketball, baseball and volleyball. He was the recipient of the Maine Principals Award.

Danielle Gagnon, daughter of Wayne and Jeannine Gagnon of Van Buren, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2003.

She will attend Husson College in Bangor to study accounting. She has been active in varsity soccer, basketball and softball.

She is the president of the National Honor Society.
