BANGOR – Grant funds have been awarded to Caring Connections, a cooperative women’s health program sponsored by the Bangor-Brewer YMCA and Eastern Maine Medical Center. The grants, provided by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, will be used to continue two women’s health projects this year.

BANGOR – Grant funds have been awarded to Caring Connections, a cooperative women’s health program sponsored by the Bangor-Brewer YMCA and Eastern Maine Medical Center. The grants, provided by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, will be used to continue two women’s health projects this year.

Bridging the Gap is a breast health screening and education program for women ages 20 through 49. Free clinical breast exams and testing are provided to women who qualify. Education focuses on women in their 20s and those of underserved populations.

Bridging Books is a project that provides resource material to women newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
