PORTLAND – The Binghamton Mets snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Sunday afternoon. The Mets (27-33) scored all of their runs in the fifth inning off losing pitcher Josh Stevens, whose record dropped to 7-2.

PORTLAND – The Binghamton Mets snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Sunday afternoon.

The Mets (27-33) scored all of their runs in the fifth inning off losing pitcher Josh Stevens, whose record dropped to 7-2.

Marvin Seale drove in the first run with a bases-loaded single. A sacrifice fly by David Bacani brought in the second run, and a two-run double Chris Basak sent home the other two runs.

David Mattox (2-0) had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning, when Portland’s Carlos Leon singled to center.

The Eastern League’s Northern Division leading Sea Dogs’ record dropped to 33-23.
