HERMON – Patrick Thibodeau of Winterport because the season’s first repeat winner in the Pro Stocks division at Speedway 95 on Sunday.

Thibodeau started on the outside pole and ran second to Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs until Seekins left the race with mechanical problems.

Thibodeau’s only subsequent challenge came from Andy Saunders of Ellsworth, who settled for a second-place finish.

Scott Alexander of Glenburn finished third, with Dale Swoboda of Hermon fourth and Tim Allen of Bar Harbor fifth.

Winterport Dragway

Don Joy of Machias earned top honors in both the Super Pro/Pro Eliminator Final and the Pro Eliminator at Winterport Dragway on Sunday.

Dan Emerson of Hermon placed second in the Super Pro/Pro Eliminator Final after besting Randy Therrien of Unity in the Super Pro Eliminator.

Joy had won the Pro Eliminator, with Tony Warf of Bangor placing second and Brian Curtis of Wellington and Don Quillia Sr. of Winterport.

Unity Raceway

Matt Lee of Albion scored a victory in the first race of the Maine State Lottery Triple Crown Series at Unity Raceway on Saturday night.

Lee, Unity’s 2000 and 2001 Pro Stock Series champion, claimed his first victory since 2001 by passing Kris Huff on lap 39. Dana Strout of Benton was second, with Bub Raven of Thorndike third.

Wiscasset Raceway

Five-time track champion Scott Chubbuck of Wiscasset picked up his first Prostock feature victory of the season Friday night, as well as his initial win for new car owner Jay Cushman.

Bill Penfold of Yarmouth placed second, turning in his best Wiscasset finish in nearly eight years. Jerry Babb of Windham placed third to retain his lead in the division point standings. Peter Oakes of Boothbay and Jim McCallum of Fall River, Mass., rounded out the top five.
