MACHIAS – The Downriver Theatre Company will sponsor a benefit dinner at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Kilburn Commons at the University of Maine at Machias.

The supper will be followed by a special preview of the musical “Annie,” which will be presented at the Performing Arts Center.

Proceeds from the benefit will be used to offset theater costs not covered by the cost of tickets. This is the first year the theater company has chosen a benefit supper and preview as its fund-raiser.

“Annie,” directed by Martha Getchell, will run June 26-28 and July 2, 3, 5 and 10-12.

The June 25 dinner and show is $25. Reservations should be made by June 16. Call Downriver Theatre at 255-4997.
