SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Voters at a special town meeting took about 10 minutes on Monday to endorse a warrant article authorizing selectmen to spend non-property tax revenue, according to Town Clerk Beatrice Grinnell.
The annual town meeting warrant in May did not expressly authorize selectmen to spend federal and state revenue or any other funds except property taxes. The oversight was pointed out by the town’s auditor, James Wadman of Ellsworth.
