WISCASSET – Ben Rowe of Turner maneuvered his way from a 14th starting spot to take the lead from Falmouth’s Scott Mulkern on lap 131 and he led the rest of the way to win the Coastal 200 Pro All-Stars Series race at Wiscasset Raceway Sunday.

It was Rowe’s second win in four PASS races this season. Rowe is the defending points champion.

Denmark’s Travis Khiel finished second, Mulkern was third, Wiscasset’s Scott Chubbuck finished fourth, and Dave Gorveatt from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island rounded out the top five.

NASCAR changes possible

BROOKLYN, Mich. – A change to next year’s NASCAR Winston Cup schedule is expected to be announced Friday during simultaneous news conferences at Michigan International Speedway, California Speedway and Darlington Raceway.

International Speedway Corporation, which owns all the tracks involved, is expected to eliminate the fall race at North Carolina International Speedway in Rockingham to give the Fontana, Calif., track a second Cup event on the packed 36-race schedule.
