OLD TOWN – The Old Town-Orono YMCA recently coordinated a Trike-A-Thon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, raising $1,300. These funds will help St. Jude in its fight against childhood catastrophic diseases. The event was sponsored by the Old Town-Orono YMCA Preschool and held in the YMCA’s Cyr Family Field House.
Under the direction of Anne Ware, YMCA senior director, 70 children participated in a one-week bike safety program and more than half participated in the Trike-A-Thon.
