BANGOR – Bangor International Airport announced Friday the addition of several US Airways Express flights this summer.

US Airways has expanded service between Bangor and Philadelphia, complementing the three-times-daily turboprop service that currently exists. New flights to Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.’s Reagan airport also have been added.

The new service will use 50-seat Embraer-145 Regional Jets, which have a cruising speed of more than 500 miles per hour. Flight attendant service is provided on all new flights.
