AUGUSTA – The Department of Veterans Affairs is accepting applications from public and nonprofit private groups for $8 million in grants to fund programs for homeless veterans.

Grants can fund up to 65 percent of the cost of providing housing facilities, service centers and transportation to homeless veterans.
