ORONO – The 12th annual Maine High School Senior All-Star Baseball Game will be played at 7 tonight at Mahaney Diamond on the campus of the University of Maine.
The nine-inning contest features 50 of the top senior players in the state, representing all four classes. Among those players are the four finalists for the Mr. Baseball Award: Jeremy Ham of Lee Academy, Ray Vallee of Cony of Augusta, Ross Cantara of Biddeford and Ryan Baker of Portland. This year’s winner of the Mr. Baseball Award will be announced just before the game.
Coaches for the teams are the coaches of the regional championship teams in all four classes. East coaches are Craig Rogers of Mount Ararat, Mike Cowing of Bucksport, Dan Kane of George Stevens Academy and Jon Codrey of Central Aroostook. West coaches are Mike D’Andrea of Deering, Bill Fairchild of Oak Hill, Chris Bessey of Jay and Bruce Poliquin of North Yarmouth Academy.
