HERMON – Andy Saunders of Ellsworth started on the pole for the Pro Stock feature and held of Scott Chubbuck of Wiscasset to the take the win Saturday night at Speedway 95 in Hermon.

Dwayne Overlock of Surry finished third, fourth was Bar Harbor’s John Phippen, and Patrick Thibodeau of Winterport rounded out the top five.

At Beech Ridge Speedway in Scarborough, Saco’s Steve Carrier held off a hard-charging Bobby Babb of Windham to win the NASCAR Pro Series 40-lap main event on Saturday night.

Old Orchard Beach’s Bill Rodgers finished third, Scarborough’s Steve Howard was fourth, and Phil Baril Jr. of Haverhill, Mass., finished fifth.
