PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Righthander John Vigue pitched eight shutout innings Wednesday night as the Bangor Lumberjacks posted a 7-0 Northeast League victory over Berkshire.
Vigue (3-1) scattered five hits, striking out six and walking two. Bangor pitchers now have shut out Berkshire for 20 consecutive innings.
The 11-17 Lumberjacks were paced offensively by Brad Hargreaves (three RBIs) and Juan Silvestre, each of whom stroked three singles.
The Black Bears committed seven errors and all of Bangor’s runs were unearned.
Manny Crespo doubled for 15-18 Berkshire.
