ELLSWORTH – Mark Clapp smacked an RBI triple and added a single as Trenton rolled to an 8-1 victory over Orono Thursday in American Legion action.

Nick Henry and Tony Conroy each chipped in with two singles and an RBI for the Acadians. Garrett Hardison singled twice.

Bo Thomas hit an RBI single for Orono and Jeff Miller hit two singles.

At Calais, Scott McDonald scattered five runs and six hits over seven innings with eight strikeouts as the Suns rolled.

Blaine Meehan and John Higgins had two singles apiece for the Riverdogs.

At Blue Hill, Joel Wessel struck out six and didn’t walk a batter while giving up four hits to lift Blue Hill to victory.
