HERMON – Winterport’s Joey Doyon held off Dave St. Clair of Liberty to take the Limited Sportsman division at Speedway 95 Saturday night. Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs finished third in the race, Farmington’s Mike Pepin took fourth and Ryan Deane of Winterport finished fifth.

Randall takes Beech Ridge race

At Scarborough, Richard Randall of Limington held off Barry Nadeau of Hollis to win the 50-lap Wildcat feature Saturday night.

Limington’s Russell Thistlewood finished third in a race that featured several lead changes. Scarborough’s Matt Hodgton and Gorham’s Mark Flohr completed the top five.

Reno makes Wiscasset history

At Wiscasset, West Bath’s Nick Reno made history in winning the 20-lap Super Street series race at Wiscasset Raceway Friday night as he became the track’s first third-generation race winner.

His grandfather, Lawrence Reno, is a former Sportsman champion and his father, Steve, is the current two-time winner in the Modified division.

Nick Reno led from start to finish with Liberty’s Bryan Robbins finishing second and Appleton’s Will Collins taking third. Appleton’s Bill Collins and Skowhegan’s David Folsom rounded out the top five.

McCarthy wins Busch North race

At Holland, N.Y., Joey McCarthy of Randolph, N.J. posted his first win of the season on the Busch North series as he beat Scarborough’s Kelly Moore across the finish line to win the Sunoco/Burnham Boilers 150 at Holland International Speedway Saturday night.

Matt Kobyluck of Oakdale, Conn. finished third in the 23-car field.

Rounding out the top 10 were Mike Olsen of North Haverhill, N.H., rookie Tim Andrews of Concord, N.C., Mike Johnson of Salisbury, Mass., Dale Quarterley of Westfield, Mass., points leader and defending points champion Andy Santerre of Cherryfield, Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Mass. and Eliot’s Carey Heath.

Scarborough rookie Ryan Moore, son of Kelly Moore, finished 20th. Moore and Andrews each have 56 points in the rookie-of-the-year battle.

Ben Rowe posts third win

At Epping, N.H., Turner’s Ben Rowe, the defending Pro All Stars Series points champion, led virtually all the way to collect his third win of the season at Star Speedway Saturday night.

Strong’s Tracy Gordon, who won last week’s race at Hermon’s Speedway 95, crossed the finish line second but was disqualified for using titanium axles.

South Paris’ Sam Sessions was elevated to second and Hallowell’s Johnny Clark wound up third.

Dale Shaw of Center Conway, N.H. finished fourth and Turner’s Mike Rowe, Ben’s father, was fifth.

Completing the top 10 in the 26-car field were Cushing’s Chuck Lachance, Farmington’s Cassius Clark, Dave Gorveatt of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Babe Branscombe of Northwood, N.H. and Denmark’s Travis Khiel.
