BLUE HILL – An East Blue Hill woman was arrested this weekend after she allegedly drove into a parked car on Main Street and then drove away from the scene, according to police.
Colleen Gibson, 55, was driving a 1987 Volvo around 7:30 p.m. Saturday when she struck a 2000 Ford wagon parked on Main Street in front of Marlintini’s, Sgt. Scott Kane of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department said Monday.
Gibson drove away from the accident but was stopped after she was spotted driving on East Blue Hill Road, Kane said.
Damage to the Ford, mostly to its rear passenger side, was estimated at $2,500, while the Volvo had $1,500 in estimated damage, according to Kane.
Gibson has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, he said.
