RIPLEY – Two women escaped serious injury Monday morning when their vehicles collided at the intersection of Routes 154 and 152.
Somerset County Deputy Michael Knight said Beverly Crockett, 51, of Parkman was distracted while listening to an audio book and pulled out in front of Beth Thomas, 19, of Harmony.
Crockett was driving a 2000 Mazda Protege on Route 154 while Thomas was operating a 1993 Mercury on Route 152. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and Thomas’ car ended up in the ditch. Crockett suffered a cut chin in the crash and Thomas was uninjured.
Knight said Dexter Fire Department members assisted him at the scene.
