HOLDEN – Evan Twomey, a zoology major at the University of Maine, will give a talk called “Frogs: From Maine to the tropical rain forest” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at the Fields Pond Audubon Center in Holden.
Twomey spent time in Peru this winter during a class trip, and he is participating in a study of frogs this summer at Acadia National Park.
The talk will include an audiovisual presentation on frogs of the world, and Twomey also will bring several live tropical rain forest frogs. Participants will be invited outdoors to see Maine frogs in nearby ponds.
The cost is $5 for Audubon members, $6 for nonmembers and $3 for children. For more information, call 989-2591.
