HERMON – Tim Munson of Glenburn survived a last-lap pass attempt by Darren Durrell of Newburgh to post his first victory of the season in the Little Enduro division at Speedway 95 on Wednesday evening.

Durrell had led for 27 of the 30 laps in the event, then he and Munson touched in the third turn of the last lap while battling for the lead, turning Munson sideways. Durrell backed off, letting Munson regain control of his car and go on for the win.

Durrell finished second, with Richard Burrell coming from the rear of the field to finish third.

In the second Little Enduro race, Bob Merchant of Lamoine took the lead for good when Greg Small of Ellsworth was forced off the track by another car.

Merchant and Small had been swapping the lead before Small’s trouble with lapped traffic.
