HARRISBURG, Pa. – Jeremy Ware drove in six runs and righthander Blake Stein allowed only two singles over six innings as the Harrisburg Senators beat the Portland Sea Dogs 13-1 Thursday in the Eastern League.

Stein (1-4) struck out five and walked two before David Maust worked the final three innings for his first save.

The Senators scored twice in the first inning off Portland starter Jorge De La Rosa (5-3), who allowed an RBI double to Jeff Bailey and a sacrifice fly to Ware.

Ware pushed Harrisburg’s lead to 4-0 in the third with a two-run triple off De La Rosa.

Portland scored a run in the fourth on Sean McGowan’s two-out RBI single, which followed walks to Kevin Youkilis and Justin Sherrod.

Noah Hall then broke open the game with a two-run double in the fourth inning, giving Harrisburg a 6-1 lead and chasing De La Rosa from the game.
