Brewer edges Lincoln in seventh inning

BREWER – Chase Daniels’ RBI single in the seventh inning lifted the Brewer all-stars to a 9-8 Little League baseball victory over Lincoln in the ages 11-12 division Monday.

Dave McNally slammed a two-run homer for the winners. Billy Bissell and Dylan Fitzpatrick notched a double each, and Eric White tripled, doubled and singled.

Justin Pete and Kasey Knight had a double and a single each to pace Lincoln and Wayne Campbell doubled.

Millinocket 13, Orrington 1

At 13th Street Field, Bangor, Brandon Bouchard pitched a no-hitter, striking out 10, as Millinocket eliminated Orrington.

Colby Baker hit a inside-the-park home run for Millinocket. Bouchard had a RBI single in the second inning and Jeremy Bolduc had two singles.

Calais 19, Machias 0

At Machias, Adam Geel gave up only one hit and no runs with 10 strikeouts and two walks to lead Calais.

Geel also hit three singles to drive in four runs for Calais and Stephen Smith doubled and singled with a RBI. Scott Carpenter hit a two-run double in the first inning and Heath Thompson doubled.

Jacob Dahl had a single in the third inning for Machias’s only hit.

Katahdin 6, Old Town 3

At Benedicta, Josh Guiggey gave up only three runs on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts through six innings to give Katahdin Valley the win.

Tyler Robinson hit a two-run double in the fourth inning for Katahdin. Andy Kay hit a pair of singles and Guiggey had a RBI single in the first inning.

Kirk Francis hit two singles for Old Town.

Hampden 12, Orono-Veazie 4

At Hampden, Nolan Turner slammed a two-run homer and an RBI single to lift Hampden to victory.

Alex Cust singled three times and knocked in a run for the winners and Greg O’Donnell added a double, single and an RBI.

Matt Storgaaard had a pair of two-run singles for Orono-Veazie.

At Calais, Cal Shorey belted a two-run homer as Calais rolled.

Coleman Hall doubled twice and singled, and Stevie Rogers added two singles.

Bryce Colbeth ripped a double and a single to lead Machias and Jacob Stevens notched a double.

Coastal 11, Bucksport 0

At Bucksport, Ross Bowden threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk to give Coastal the win over Bucksport.

Nike Hines doubled and singled and had two RBIs for Coastal and Nick Saunders had a two-run single. Ross Bowden, Garrett Kaspala, and Alex Sullivan each had a RBI single.

At Milbridge, Jared Dorr doubled and singled to knock in three runs and help lift Sunrise past Acadian.

Colby Tucker hit a pair of singles and scored three runs for Sunrise as Kenny Ingalls, Sam Stewart, and Ethan Dublin each singled.

Nick Sosa had three singles with a RBI for Acadain and Willie Clark doubled and singled to drive in a run. Peter Logue and Calvin Tweedie each singled and scored a run.

At Bangor, Katie Porter threw a five-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks to spark Bangor.

Lindsey Stevenson hit a solo home run in the fifth inning and a RBI double for Bangor and Meg Bearor had a two-run triple in the second inning.

At Calais, Courtney Hill pitched three innings of no-hit ball and added a triple and two singles to her effort for Calais.

Ana Wilkinson tripled and Chelsea Clark doubled for the winners. Alex McVicar added a single.
