ORONO – The University of Maine women’s soccer team earned the highest grade point average among women’s soccer teams in the America East Conference. The team had a cumulative 3.31 GPA in the 2002-03 season, including a 3.43 mark in the spring semester.
The Black Bears received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Academic Award for maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA for the second straight year.
