MADAWASKA – A Madawaska man who was seriously injured last Friday night when his car struck a moose died Monday night from his injuries.
Norman Thibodeau, 50, died at about 5 p.m. at En Sante Jesus Hospital in Quebec, Madawaska Police Chief Ron Pelletier said Tuesday.
Thibodeau’s wife, Elaine, 57, who also was in the car, was not hurt.
The couple were driving south at about 10 p.m. Friday on Beaulieu Road when a moose stepped in front of their 2001 Ford Mustang convertible.
The moose crashed down onto the car where the roof meets the windshield on the driver’s side of the car. Thibodeau suffered severe head injuries, police said.
