Parade, 2; fireworks, 10

I love a parade, especially the Fourth of July parade. But this year’s was not one of the best I have seen. I understand it is hard to get many bands together this time of year, and I loved the ones at the parade. But what is with the political campaigning and endless trucks that seem only to be in it for free advertising? One of the trucks only had a flag on it, so it wasn’t supposed to pass as a float.

I missed the man on stilts and the twirlers, and more horses need to be added. The veterans should definitely participate, but the radio station vans barely had a flag. The parade committee needs to get more fun stuff and not so many trucks and firetrucks.

On a better note, the fireworks were great!
