BREWER – Jason Harvey belted a two-run homer, a triple, and two singles and drove in three runs as Brewer rallied for a 12-4 win over Penquis at Heddericg Field Wednesday in American Legion baseball action.
Harvey’s homer off a 3-0 pitch in the fifth gave Brewer a 4-3 lead and Jake Knight’s two-run double sparked an eight-run sixth-inning rally that sewed up the win.
Adam Sheehan, Kyle Dalton, and Kevin Kotredes had two singles apiece, and Sheehan also had a sacrifice fly. Pat Moran overcame a shaky first inning to pick up the win. He allowed five hits and three runs over six innings with five strikeouts and one walk.
Jason Weymouth had a two-run homer for Penquis, and James Gray and Ross Morrison contributed RBI doubles.

At East Sullivan, James Strout rapped four singles, knocked in two, and scored three times to pace Quirk Auto Park of Bangor over Schoodic.
Bill Kane added a double, two singles, four RBIs, and four runs scored for Quirk. Strout also tossed a two-hitter.
Travis Bickford singles and scored Schoodic’s lone run in the first inning.
