Museum to present panel discussion

BANGOR – In the continuing series of programs related to the current exhibit “From Away: Exploring Bangor’s Cultural Heritage,” the Bangor Museum will present “Those Were the Days” 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the museum, 6 State St.

The panel of speakers, sharing memories of growing up in Bangor’s African-American community, will consist of Herbert Heughen, Earl Johnson and Sterling Dymond Jr. Gerald Talbot, Maine’s first African-American legislator, who also grew up in Bangor, will serve as moderator.

Admission to the lecture is free. To make reservations, call the museum at 942-5766.
