Barrett, Largay help Quirk Auto Park sweep

BANGOR – Quirk Auto Park swept a doubleheader over Schoodic in Bay League baseball action Sunday, 10-0 and 5-0 at Husson College’s Winkin Complex.

In the first game, Joel Barrett and Aaron Largay each singled three times and drove in a run for the winners.

Bill Kane added two singles and Ryan Snell had two singles with an RBI.

Ben Hueber and Jason Putnam had a single apiece for Schoodic.

In the second game, Kane rapped a two-run double to spark Quirk. Barrett and Largay added an RBI single apiece.

Josh Young doubled and Travis Bickford had two singles to lead Schoodic.

Blue Hill, CMC split

At Winkin Complex in Bangor Saturday, Central Maine Cleaning and Blue Hill split, with Central Maine winning the first game 4-2 and Blue Hill the second 2-1.

In the first game, Kai Takahashi hit a two-run single in the bottom of the fourth to lift Central Maine Cleaning to the win.

Eric Conway doubled and scored a run for the winners and Tom Caldwell added an RBI single.

Justin Harman had an RBI single for Blue Hill and Nate Cox doubled.

In the second game, John Lewandowski plated both runs and singled to help Blue Hill earn the split.

Toby Cole singled and scored two runs for the winners and Eric Ray hit two singles.

Caldwell had a sacrifice fly for Central Maine Cleaning.
