BANGOR – Brad Brown pitched a complete-game six-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks to help Glenburn eliminate Holbrook 10-5 in a Junior League all-star baseball game in District 3 at Mansfield Stadium Monday.

Glenburn took control with six runs in the top of the fourth inning. Brown also had two singles for Glenburn. Ethan Cushman hit a two-run inside-the-park home run for Holbrook, while Chris Smith and Nick Smith had two singles.

At Ellsworth, Chris Maguire hit a triple and two singles to drive in two runs and help lead Bucksport to the win Sunday.

Lucas Marks hit a pair of singles with two RBIs for Bucksport. Alex Yates doubled with two RBIs and Matt Jackson had a two-run single.

Jon Jewett singled and scored all three of Ellsworth’s runs and Carl Edgecomb had two singles with a RBI.

At Ellsworth, Catie Cravens pitched a shutout, giving up only two hits and two walks while striking out 13 to lead Ellsworth to the District 1 softball championship.

Maggie Seavey hit three singles for Ellsworth and Cravens and Tessa Rockwood singled.

Emily Wilkinson and Kayla Cobb each singled for Calais.

Ashley Allen had two singles and four RBIs for Calais and Emily Wilkinson hit a two-run triple.

Tessa Rockwood hit a two- run single for Ellsworth and Maggie Seavey and Emily Miller each singled.

Taylor Trombley gave up only two hits while striking out 10 for Ellsworth and Maggie Harding hit a two-run homer in the first inning.

Peer had two singles with two RBIs and Catherine Carter hit a pair of singles with a RBI. Anna Seavey added two singles.

Launa Sargent and Jessica Tenan each singled and scored a run for Sunrise.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Neil Russell pitched a one-hit shutout as Bangor bested Lincoln in a game halted after five innings by the 10-run rule.

Shane Walton led Bangor with a two-run inside-the-park home run, while Kyle Vanidestine hit a three-run double, Gordie Webb had two doubles and Alex Gallant singled twice.

Andrew Welch singled for Lincoln.

Ryan Moriarty tripled to drive in two runs for Holbrook and Kyle Senter had a double.
