The weekend’s final slate of American Legion baseball regular season action settled the six playoff spots and postseason pairings for Zone 1.

The Brewer Falcons are the top overall seed and winner of the South division with a 21-1 record, one of the best regular season marks in zone history, and will play No. 6 seed and third-place North team Calais (10-12) when the zone playoffs begin at Mansfield Stadium Thursday at noon.

The rest of the seedings are as follows: North champ and No. 2 overall seed Bangor (14-8) will play No. 5 seed and second place north team Lincoln (13-9) at 4 p.m., No. 3 seed and south runner-up Trenton (14-8) will take on No. 4 seed and third-place south team Penquis (13-9) at 8 p.m.

Bangor received the No. 2 seeding despite splitting two regular season games with Trenton by virtue of winning its division. Had the tie-breaking procedure been needed, Bangor would still have been the No. 2 seed on points thanks to being the only team to beat Brewer. The tie between Penquis and Lincoln was broken by head-to-head records as Penquis beat Lincoln in both meetings.
