BANGOR – Mark Farnham pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts, one walk, and one unearned run to spark Central Maine Cleaning to an 8-1 victory over Old Town Saturday in the first game of a Bay League doubleheader at Husson College. Central Maine Cleaning won the second game 10-6.

In the first game, Seth Cronkite doubled and singled to drive in three runs for Central Maine Cleaning. Andy Sullivan hit a pair of singles with two RBIs, and Eric Conway had a double and a single.

Chris Rand hit two singles for Old Town.

In the second game, Randy Renauld had a double and a single with three RBIs for Central Maine Cleaning. Eric Conway doubled and singled with two RBIs, and Farnham had a two-run single.

Charlie Worster hit a double and a single with two RBIs for Old Town, and Hunter Pelletier singled with an RBI.

Bangor splits with Blue Hill

At Blue Hill, Bangor split a pair of games with Blue Hill, winning the first game 14-7 and losing the second 4-3.

In the first game, Craig Harvey had a home run, a double and a single for four RBIs to help give Bangor the win. Jason Folsom pounded out four singles and scored three runs while Joel Barrett had four singles and two RBIs.

Toby Cole led Blue Hill with a home run and two singles for three RBIs while Nate Cox chipped in with a solo home run.

In the second game, Jeremy Bird hit an RBI single in the top of the third inning to give Blue Hill the win. Luke Hardison had three singles while Cole added two base hits.

Harvey and Ryan Snell each hit two singles for Bangor.
