OLD TOWN – Amanda Littlefield hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead Old Town All-Stars past Biddeford 3-2 for the state Senior League softball title Tuesday at the Old Town High School field.
It was Old Town’s third Senior League state title in four years.
Monica Hussey and Jamie Gomm, who have combined to allow only four hits in the past three games, pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead the team by Biddeford.
Patricia Sherland had the game-tying RBI single in the seventh. Jen Higgins and Jenny Jones contributed with an RBI single apiece.
Michelle Gagnon led the Biddeford effort with a triple.

At Biddeford, Auburn Suburban broke open the game in the third with five hits and six runs behind three straight doubles by Kevin Pontbriand, David Lutz and Justin Ciszewski to beat Coastal of Blue Hill for the state championship.
Pitcher Chris Merrill earned the win by scattering seven hits over 6 1/3 innings before giving up two runs. Brandon Elie came on to stop the Coastal rally. Matt Nadeau, Pontbriand, Ciszewski and Merrill each had two hits for the winners.
Adam Cousins had two hits and RBI for Coastal and Blake Wessel contributed with a single, a run and an RBI.
Auburn Suburban advances to the Eastern Regional for Senior Little League Baseball in West Deptford, N.J., on Aug. 1.
