FAIRFIELD – A Benton man faces a criminal threatening charge after allegedly leaping from a car and threatening a bicyclist with a 3-foot sword.

Randolph S. Dodge, 33, was arrested Sunday after a Fairfield police officer saw him get out of his car on Main Street after apparently having words with a man on a bicycle riding by.

Dodge also is charged with violating conditions of release and may face other charges, police said.
