COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Air Force Cadet Aaron L. Davis graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy, receiving a degree in civil engineering. He also was commissioned as a second lieutenant.
A 1999 graduate of Bangor Christian High School, Davis is scheduled to attend the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Ga. After graduating from that school, he will be a special agent assigned to the Office of Special Investigations. He is the son of Glenn and Janice Davis of South Paris.
Deployments
BANGOR – Army Spec. Joshua Baker has been deployed overseas to a forward operating location to support the mission Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lovejoy, a watercraft engineer, is the son of William and Rita Lovejoy of Bangor.
BANGOR – Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Jeremy Lawrence, 22, the son of Kathy Lawrence of Bangor, recently left for six months of deployment aboard the USS Los Angeles. The nuclear-powered attack submarine left Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the vessels home port, to conduct missions in support of the global war on terrorism.
“I operate and maintain electronics that control the nuclear reactor,” said Lawrence, a 1998 graduate of Bangor High School. He has been in the Navy for five years.
The Los Angeles is one of the most technically advanced vessels in the Navy. It has the ability to hunt and destroy enemy naval forces, lay mines near enemy ports, provide covert intelligence, support U.S. special operations forces and conduct cruise missile strikes against targets ashore.
Basic training
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Air Force Airman Christopher Bailey has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. A 1999 graduate of Brewer High School, he is the son of Kathy Bailey of Brewer.
