MOUNT DESERT – Emily Heath hit a pair of doubles to push Bangor past Scarborough 12-2 Friday and into the final of the state Little League softball 13-14 tournament.

Bangor will play the winner of the Biddeford-Scarborough game for the title.

Jessica Strout, Erica Tweedie, Taylor Lauritsen, and Courtney Stevenson each hit a single for Bangor.

Kira Gordon had Scarborough’s only hit.

At Mount Desert, Emily Heath hit a three-run double in the sixth inning and scored the winning run on a Taylor Lauritsen single to give Bangor the come-from-behind win.

Lauritsen hit a pair of singles with an RBI for Bangor.

Emily Rousseau tripled and singled for Biddeford and Heather Huot tripled.

Hillary Savage singled in the third for Scarborough. Kira Gordon scored on a wild pitch and LeBorgne scored an unearned run.

Caitlin Wright hit a single in the fourth inning for Ellsworth.

Ryan Bailey, Cody Farrell, Cody Davis, and Tim Nason each singled for Bucksport.

South Portland, Biddeford win

At Ellsworth, South Portland National and Biddeford each recorded first-round victories.

South Portland National defeated South Lewiston 10-0 and Biddeford defeated Bangor 11-4.

Abby Reny pitched a no-hitter to lead South Portland to victory. She walked six, but struck out eight. Amanda Linscott chipped in with a double and single, and Katlin Norton and Courtney Perruzzi each singled twice.

Bangor 14, York 2

At Mount Desert, Shane Walton hit a triple and two singles to drive in two runs to pace Bangor past York.

Aaron Santerre had a two-run single in the fourth inning for Bangor and Troy Jellison hit an RBI single.

Chris Knox and Dan Graziano each doubled for York, and Kevin Maran hit a two-run single.

Brady Blackman hit a RBI single for Auburn as Matt Meserve, John Alexander, Adam Redmun each singled.

Teddy Cooke doubled and singled to drive in two runs for Bucksport, and Matt Jackson had a double and a single with an RBI.

Kyle Vanedistine hit two singles and a double with two RBIs for Bangor. Gordon Webb had a double and two singles and Troy Jellison doubled and singled with an RBI.

At Mount Desert, Jeff Cole drove in the go-ahead run in Chris Knox in the seventh inning to give York the win over Auburn.

Dan Graziano hit a double and three single to drive in two runs for York and Chris Knox had two singles.

John Alexander hit an RBI single in the fifth inning for Auburn and Matt Meserve had an RBI. Alex Janelle and Kyle Bussiere each singled.
