Quirk Auto Park sweeps CM Cleaning

BANGOR – Craig Harvey’s RBI single lifted Quirk Auto Park past Central Maine Cleaning 6-5 in the first game en route to a twinbill sweep in Bay League baseball action at the Winkin Complex Saturday.

Quirk Auto won the second 5-2.

In the opener, Bill Kane doubled, singled twice and knocked in two runs for the winners. Joel Barrett had two singles with an RBI, and Jared Foster added an RBI single.

Andy Sullivan and Randy Renault had two singles each to lead Central Maine Cleaning and Rich Connell doubled.

In the second game, Barrett knocked a two-run single to help Quirk Auto get the sweep and Jason Folsom doubled.

Renault hit RBI triple to lead Central Maine Cleaning.

Old Town, Schoodic split

At Old Town Sunday, Schoodic and Old Town split a pair with Old Town taking the opener 10-7 and Schoodic the nightcap 12-2.

In the first game, Kevin Proctor singled twice and knocked in a pair of runs for the winners.

Ken Hueber laced an RBI double to lead Schoodic.

In the second game, Jeremy York had two singles and two RBIs as Schoodic rolled.

Charlie Worster singled, doubled and plated a run for Old Town.

Montville 8, Blue Hill 3

At Blue Hill Friday, Rory O’Donnell gave up only five hits and three walks while striking out nine to help lead Montville to the win.

Ben Relyea hit a double, two singles, and scored three times for Montville. Nate Hall had two singles with three RBIs and Gerald Hewes doubled and singled with a RBI.

Derik Awalt hit a single with two RBIs for Blue Hill.
