Ex-Black Bear Liscak now a Bruin Moran, Doull, Leahy also sign with Boston

BOSTON – Veteran defenseman Ian Moran was one of four unrestricted free agents who signed one-year contracts with the Boston Bruins on Monday.

The other players were center Doug Doull and left wing Pat Leahy, who played in the AHL last season, and left wing Robert Liscak, who appeared in one AHL playoff game for Providence after playing four seasons at Maine.

The Bruins acquired Moran from Pittsburgh late last season for a fourth-round draft pick. In 441 career NHL games he has 19 goals, 45 assists and 283 penalty minutes. He has one goal and seven assists in 66 career playoff games.

Leahy 20 goals and 23 assists for the Bruins’ top minor league club last season; Doull has played seven minor league seasons, and had 15 goals, 10 assists and 257 penalty minutes last season; Liscak had 46 goals and 58 assists in his college career and was a member of the 2002 Frozen Four all-tournament team.
