QUEBEC CITY – Eight U.S. team players combined to shut out the World team in the Northeast League All-Star Game for a 5-0 victory Tuesday night at Le Stade de Quebec.

Kevin Pincavitch (Bangor Lumberjacks) earned the win for the U.S. team. Pincavitch entered the game in the second inning, and pitched two innings, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out two.

John Kelley (North Shore) started on the mound for the U.S. team for an inning.

Following Pincavitch, Brian Edmondson (Elmira), John Dillinger (Allentown), Jerry Long (Bangor), Chris McGee (Elmira), Eddie Aucoin (Berkshire), and Conor Brooks (Brockton) pitched one scoreless inning each.

A hitter won the MVP award despite the shutout – shortstop Cleatus Davidson (Elmira) took All-Star MVP honors by going 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a run.

The U.S. team took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning when a sacrifice fly by Donnie Ross (Bangor) scored Davidson.

In the fifth inning, a Davidson single scored John Ballon (Quebec) and P.J. Johnston (Berkshire) to give the U.S. team a 3-0 lead.
