ORONO – Peter Rivard will serve as an assistant coach for the University of Maine men’s soccer team this fall, head coach Travers Evans announced Wednesday.

Rivard was a graduate assistant with North Dakota last year, leading the Sioux to a 10-6-1 mark, qualifying them for the playoffs for the first time. He served as head coach at Cheverus High in Portland from 1998-99, posting a 20-5-5 record in two seasons and a Western Maine runner-up finish in 1999.
