WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Susan Collins announced recently that Eric Penley of Holden has joined her staff for a six-week internship in the Washington office.

“I am pleased that Eric is working with our talented staff,” said Collins. “I am confident that he will learn a great amount about the work we do on Capitol Hill while performing important services for the people of Maine.”

Penley is a 2001 graduate of John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor. He will be a junior at Bowdoin College in the fall, where he has a double major in government and Spanish, and is a Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholar. He is the son of Robert and Candis Penley of Holden.
