VASSALBORO – The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a two-car collision that claimed the lives of a well-known local couple Friday.
The victims were identified as former Vassalboro Fire Chief Norman Duplessie, 80, and his wife, Lorraine, 76.
Three teenagers who were in the other car were not seriously injured in the crash, which happened about 5 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Main Street and Priest Hill Road.
