GEORGETOWN – A former Maine radio broadcaster was killed late Tuesday night in a one-car crash in Georgetown.

Brian McGarry, 53, died at Maine Medical Center after his car went off a curve on the Five Islands Road and struck a tree. The accident was reported around 10:30 p.m.

McGarry, who lived in Deltona, Fla., was in the midst of moving back to Georgetown, where he grew up, police said.

He had worked as a disc jockey for a number of Maine radio stations, including WJTO and WIGY in Bath and WGAN in Portland.
