OLD TOWN – A consumer lawsuit against Old Fox Fuel, a home heating oil dealer based in Old Town, has been settled, the Maine Attorney General’s Office announced Thursday.

Old Fox allegedly failed to honor “pre-buy” contracts it made with customers to provide large volumes of oil at fixed prices. Old Fox is barred from entering into similar contracts and will provide restitution to affected customers.

Old Fox did not admit to any wrongdoing.
