BANGOR – Bangor Savings Bank recently contributed $1,500 to The Four Square Foundation in support of the KIDS Project – Kids In Distressed Situations – in Maine.

The KIDS Foundation encourages and facilitates donations of new apparel, shoes, toys, juvenile products and other items that benefit children who are ill, living in poverty or are the victims of natural disasters. Based in New York, KIDS has designated Four Square Foundation to be the Maine representative for the clothing project.

Students at Good Will-Hinckley assisted in distributing 26,000 pieces of clothing, valued at $250,000 and mostly donated by Sears, to Maine’s low-income children in all 16 counties. Bangor Savings Bank’s contribution helped cover the transportation expenses.
