MARS HILL – Erick Martinez scored on a Patrick Walsh assist three minutes, 15 seconds into overtime to give host Central Aroostook a 3-2 win over Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook in a season-opening schoolboy soccer game Friday.
Jon Boyd scored five minutes into the first half for the Panthers and Martinez added his first goal in the second half. Adam Crew stopped 13 of 15 shots for 1-0 Central Aroostook.
Tommy St. Pierre tied the game with 10 minutes remaining in the second half on a penalty kick for the Warriors. Evan Garey scored their first goal off of a Logan Edwards assist. Jeff Boutilier made 13 saves on 29 shots for 0-1 Southern Aroostook.

Wisdom 6, Easton 2
At Easton, Kristen Marquis scored three goals to help lead Wisdom of St. Agatha to the win in their first game of the season.
Christa Lizotte scored two goals and assisted another for Wisdom. Michelle Bourgoin scored a goal and had two assists and Tracy Hebert had an assist. Kayla Daigle stopped 18 of 21 shots for 1-0 Wisdom.
Jessica Ferris scored both of Easton’s goals while Kassie Lovely made one assist. Briana White made 16 saves on 26 shots for 0-1 Easton.
SAHS 1, CAHS 1
At Mars Hill, Olivia McGary scored the game-tying goal off from an assist from Mindy Watson with eight minutes left in the game for Southern Aroostook. Audrey Charette made 15 saves on 26 shots for 0-0-1 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook.
Alisha Boyd scored the game’s first goal with 20 minutes remaining with an assist from Ericah Cheney. Brittany Lundeen stopped nine of 17 shots for 0-0-1 Central Aroostook.
Hodgdon 3, Limestone 1
At Limestone, Brianne McGary scored two goals and assisted another to help Hodgdon past Limestone.
Collette Sloat scored a goal and had an assist and Andrea Blanchette aided a goal. Ellie Dunn scored 0-1 Limestone’s lone goal.
