DYER BROOK – Amanda Fitzpatrick scored on a penalty kick in the second half to lift the Hodgdon Hawks to a 2-1 schoolgirl soccer victory over the Southern Aroostook Warriors Tuesday.
Brianne McGary gave Hodgdon a 1-0 lead on an assist from Collette Sloat, but Southern Aroostook’s Olivia McGary scored on a Maggie Weston assist to leave the teams tied at intermission.
Erin Foster made nine saves on 16 shots for 2-0 Hodgdon. Audrey Charrette made eight saves on 14 shots for 0-1-1 Southern Aroostook.
Fort Fairfield 3, CAHS 0
At Fort Fairfield, Sadie Ayoob scored a goal in each half to help the Tigers open the season with a victory.
Keegan O’Neil assisted on both Ayoob tallies. Kaylee Searles scored off a Sheena Esancy assist for Fort Fairfield’s other goal. Dani Searles made two saves on two shots.
Brittany Lundeen registered 11 saves and faced 23 shots for 0-1-1 Central Aroostook of Mars Hill.

At Fort Fairfield, Pat Walsh scored the game-winning goal with an assist from Eric Martinez to lead Central Arootook to the victory.
Martinez added a goal of his own earlier in the game while Jon Boyd picked up the assists. Adam Crew made 13 saves on 18 shots for 2-0 Central Aroostook.
Brock Kilcollins scored for 0-1 Fort Fairfield off a pass from Josh Tuner. Tyler Bernaishe stopped 11 of 25 shots.
