AUGUSTA – The Maine Elks Association plans to hold its third annual Youthfest at the Augusta Elks Lodge on Route 27 this Saturday.
The free program will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held rain or shine.
The purpose of the event is to provide a day of entertainment for families and friends of disabled or disadvantaged preteen children, as well as families of active duty military personnel.
The event will feature carnival games, face painting, pony rides, wagon rides, field games, a hoop shoot, soccer shoot, music, animated characters, clowns, bounce houses, prize drawings, food, music and much more.
Youthfest also will feature a magic show by magician Bob Nixon, and a concert by children’s entertainer Rick Charette.
The Maine Elks Association, which comprises 22 lodges across the state, provides service to youth in communities throughout the state.
Youthfest will be held at the lodge on Route 27, a half-mile west of Interstate 95.
